In April of 2026, the Sloane Arts Initiative will host an art exhibition in collaboration with Unthink AI and Café Olivia (in downtown Dallas) to spread the visibility of teen artists in Texas. We hope to provide a platform with an audience of around 400-500 people who want to purchase and support high school visual arts.

Additionally, we will host a panel of art non-profit owners and business owner artists who can share their unique experiences and growth stories. We hope that high school artists will be able to learn about different possible career paths that they may not have had access to before.

FASHIONING COMMUNITY - ART WORKSHOP

In January of 2026, we hosted 2 community workshops for middle schoolers on garment design and fashion art history in Texas. We presented the African and Western roots of Texan art, then taught the kids how to design garment and design sketches. We provided them with fabric scraps and art supplies, and are excited to continue fashion based events!

SOCIAL IMPACT BAZAAR ART SURVEY

At a bazaar and flee-market style event, the Sloane Arts Initiative conducted a community survey to see different perspectives on the importance of art education.

Some highlight answers:

"Art saves lives! It allows for creative expression that makes sure no one feels alone."

"Because it helps share people's cultures + experiences!"

"Because it's good for your brain!"

"Art gives us an outlet and helps us understand ourselves and the world better."

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE - ART WORKSHOP

In November of 2025, we visited Ronald McDonald House Dallas to host a community workshop for the kids and families residing there. In collaboration with Brush and Beyond, we watched Brush and Beyond's Yayoi Kusama Art Activity video and taught the kids how to create their own pumpkin inspired artwork.

We taught a total of 24 kids and are excited to return in 2026!
